Privacy Policy

Tidy Bear (“Tidy Bear,” “we,” “us”) is a two-person cleaning business on Topsail Island, NC. This policy explains what we collect when you use tidybear.cc or contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep this short and plain on purpose.
What we collect
- Contact details you give us: your name, phone number, and email.
- Your property: the address, and any optional details you choose to share (beds/baths, size, condition, pets, linens, supplies location, parking, trash day, booking-calendar link, pool/hot tub, outdoor areas, an emergency contact, photo preferences, and notes).
- Access details, only if you provide them: gate, lock, or keypad codes and camera notes, so we can get in to clean.
- Basic technical data your browser sends (such as IP address) used to keep the site secure and working.
How we use it
To prepare your quote, schedule and perform your cleans, send your confirmation, and reach you about your request or service. That is it. We do not use it for unrelated purposes.
Your access codes
We treat gate and lock codes as sensitive. They are kept private, shared only with the cleaner assigned to your property, and used only to enter for your scheduled cleans. We never sell them and never share them for marketing. You can ask us to delete them at any time.
We do not sell your data
We never sell or rent your information. We use a small number of trusted service providers only to run the business, and they process only what they need:
- Google Places | address suggestions while you type.
- Email (Gmail / Resend) | to send your confirmation and our lead alerts.
- Fly.io | secure website and database hosting.
- Cal.com / Google Calendar | scheduling, if you book a time.
- Cloudflare R2 | secure storage for the cleaning photos in your report.
- Anthropic (Claude) | AI that suggests a room label and a caption for photos. It does not train on our data, and a real person approves every photo before it is sent.
Photos & AI
After a clean we take photos to make a private proof report for the host. We may use AI (Anthropic’s Claude) to suggest a room label and a short caption, but a real person on our team reviews and approves every photo, label, and caption before anything is sent. Your photos are not used to train AI. Reports are private and shared only with the host, never posted publicly. We keep proof photos for up to 90 days, then delete them automatically.
Text messages
If you give us a phone number, we may text you about your request or booking. Reply STOP at any time to opt out. We do not run automated marketing text blasts.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your information for as long as we need it to serve you, then no longer than necessary. You can request a copy of your data, or ask us to delete it, any time by emailing tidybearcleaningco@gmail.com. The site is served over HTTPS, and we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Children
Our site and services are for adults and are not directed to children.
